Our client is the tech build & design unit of a leading global management consulting firm. With a team of nearly 3,000 technologists, scientists, programmers, engineers, and designers across 80+ cities worldwide, they build and design cutting-edge platforms and software solutions to drive innovation and digital transformation for organizations.

The role can be based out of several German cities including Munch, Berlin, Frankfurt, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Stuttgart.

The role requires flexibility with travel (1-2 days a week).

You need to be able to speak German for this position.

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Principal Data Scientist to join our rapidly growing team. In this role, you will apply advanced data science methods and analytics to solve complex business challenges across various sectors, driving significant business impact for our clients.

Key Responsibilities of Principal Data Scientist:

• Lead and manage teams of data scientists, engineers, and designers to develop innovative AI-powered products and analytics solutions
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership to shape the company's growth and business development strategies
• Deliver thought leadership through publications, speaking engagements, and industry forums
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance on data science concepts and translating complex insights into actionable business implications
• Drive end-to-end analytics engagements, from framing business challenges to designing algorithms, implementing scalable solutions, and enabling clients to fully embrace AI

Requirements for a Principal Data Scientist:

• 9+ years of industry experience providing advanced analytics solutions
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field (eg, analytics, statistics, operations research, computer science, engineering)
• Recognized expertise in data science and modern machine learning techniques, with a solid understanding of their mathematical underpinnings
• Strong project management skills and proven ability to lead and manage teams
• Excellent communication and visualization skills to convey complex concepts effectively
• Fluency in at least one coding language (Python preferred)
• Ability to travel based on client and business needs
• Fluency in English and local language is required
