Network Engineer - 6 months - Hybrid (Paddington/Swindon)

Are you a seasoned Network Engineer with a passion for innovation and a knack for problem-solving? We're on the hunt for a top-tier talent to join our clients team as a Network Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. Our client is a leading global IT consultancy with a large presence in Europe, Asia and the US.

  • Title: Network Engineer
  • Duration: 6 months (Scope for extension)
  • Location: Hybrid - Paddington or Swindon
  • Commencement Date - ASAP
  • Daily Rate: £430 - £470
  • Determination: Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and optimizing network solutions using Cisco Routing & Switching technologies, including ASR, Nexus, and Catalyst platforms.
  • Leveraging Data Centre networking concepts, particularly Cisco ACI/SDN, to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Strengthening our security posture with your proficiency in Firewall technologies, such as Cisco and Fortinet solutions.
  • Championing SDWAN technologies for seamless network operations in diverse enterprise environments.
  • Maximizing network availability and efficiency through the implementation and maintenance of F5 Load Balancers.
  • Tackling challenges head-on with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, ensuring our network remains resilient and reliable.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Cisco Routing & Switching technologies.
  • Proficiency in Data Centre networking concepts, including Cisco ACI/SDN.
  • Strong understanding of Firewall technologies, preferably with experience in Cisco and Fortinet solutions.
  • Familiarity with SDWAN technologies and their implementation in enterprise environments.
  • Proven track record in network design, project delivery, and operational support
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
