Senior Network Engineer

Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit an experienced Network Engineer to join a team of talented infrastructure specialists providing high level support and project delivery.

The Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will support and develop LAN/WAN Infrastructures, Network Security within a WinTel estate. As the Senior Network Engineer, you will have a broad knowledge and hands on experience in associated infrastructure technologies with good analytical and troubleshooting skills.

The Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management and development of the LAN/WAN environment across the group.
• Monitor performance & provide improvements across the network infrastructure.
• Develop and implement processes that improves the stability and security of the networking infrastructure while minimising business impact.
• Develop & maintain documentation sets relating to areas covered by the role.
• Provide 'weekly/monthly' reporting of both SLA and performance of the networking infrastructure.
• Working within the team to provide support of other areas of the infrastructure where appropriate.
• Vulnerability/Patch Management & Reporting of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Where appropriate, ensure that IT standards are followed and enforced within the organisation.

The Requirements

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will have knowledge and experience of the below:

• LAN/WAN (Cisco) development & support.
• Network Security.
• Basic virtualisation deployment and administration (ESX).
• Active Directory Management.
• Windows Server +2019, management, development and troubleshooting.
• Documentation & Asset Management.
