Linux Support/SysAdmin, BASH, Ubuntu, Hybrid (Contract)

Location: Bristol City Centre Country: UK Rate: £400 - £500 per day

Our client, a well-known organisation based in central Bristol is looking for a contractor that specialises in Linux to provide 2nd and 3rd line support.

Please note:-
Engagement is via umbrella company only.
On site attendance is required a minimum 3 days per week.

The successful applicant will be comfortable and competent supporting users with the ability to provide 3rd line/Back End/server support.

You will provide day-to-day specialist Linux administrator support by way of Incident and Service Request tickets. Effectively communicating with users and provide feedback on any new issues found with the Linux support team members.

Responsibilities include building systems, troubleshooting OS, application and connectivity issues. There may also be involvement with specialist systems or Servers where a risk adverse approach is required to protect data.

Liaison with multiple IT teams or Service Desk staff in-line with IT and InfoSec policies is a key responsibility.

Technical skills required: -

  • Redhat/Ubuntu
  • Specialist Linux desktop and server support
  • Bash Scripting
