OPA Designer/Developer (Oracle Policy Automation)

Location: Rockville, MD


Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with other developers to produce high quality software product that delivers business value and follows established design patterns
  • Experience integrating business rules and developing systems using Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) which includes deployment, testing, automation hub, modelling, and debugging. Project experience/expertise with OPA rule modelling including designing OPA rules, authoring OPA rules and testing OPA rules using Oracle Policy Modeling
  • Design, author, and develop business rules based on requirements using Oracle Policy Automation (OPA).
  • OPA rule/data modelling including testing and debugging.
  • Forms development based on rule creation in OPA.
  • Modify screens in OPA including interview creation.
  • Build and deploy using standard procedures including the Oracle Policy Automation Hub.
  • Troubleshoot production problems within assigned applications software
  • Work with business users to develop and implement acceptance tests to ensure that product meets customer requirements and expectations.
  • Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Proven experience in OPA and full software life cycle development. Ability to quickly learn frameworks to provide support
  • Experience in Web Development with HTML, JSP, Servlets, CSS, JavaScript (preferred)
  • Experience using XML, XSD, XSLT, IDE's, and WSDLs (preferred)
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Agile practices
  • Experience working directly with customers to discuss their requirements and objectives
  • Ability to prioritize, status, and multitask
